The Bible and Exegesis
The Essential Importance Of Scripture
Sola Scriptura
Sola scriptura is the Latin for "by scripture alone" and is the doctrine that the Bible contains all knowledge necessary for salvation and holiness.

As a result, sola scriptura demands that only those doctrines are to be admitted that are found directly within or indirectly by using either valid logical deduction or valid deductive reasoning from scripture.
However, sola scriptura does not deny other authorities from governing life and devotion. Rather, it simply demands that all other authorities are subordinate to, and are to be corrected by, the written word of God.
Oral Tradition
This is one of the reasons why we, at Shoresh’im Ministries, do not take Rabbinic Halachah (oral law / tradition) as authoritative and place it on the same level as the Written Torah (as the whole Canon of scripture, not just the Ten Commandments or Books of the Law given to Moses).
Good Exegesis
There is nothing more important than having a correct understanding of the Bible. Without it, we have no firm and Divinely objective plumb line against which we can measure our life and decisions we make. That is why we hope the Bible and Exegesis reviews you find here will be of use to you as you investigate, define and live by the plumb line God gives you.
Take a look at this growing list of books to help you study the Word of God through good exegesis, defined as:
"a critical explanation or analysis, especially of a text. [Greek exēgēsis, from exēgeisthai, to interpret : ex-, ex- + hēgeisthai, to lead].
