USA in Crisis

One more thing...God has been graciously opening my eyes to His intolerance of sin. His mercy holds back judgement while His grace draws us to repentance and change. When we move deeper into sin and disregard of what is important to God; when we persist in what is good in our own eyes, we frustrate both the mercy and the grace of God. And judgement has to come - perhaps this will cause us to reconsider. Such I now fear is the case with the US. The different sins of over the last decades is now severely compounded by the developing change in position toward Israel. National faith in God is being replaced with "yes we can"; as though saying "we don't need the fear of God".

I am grieving for this great country. In September 2007, the Lord told us to "Prepare for 2008 and beyond...". He spoke to us about "increasing significant global difficulties" starting in 2008, but continuing in subsequent years. Now, the scriptures do make it clear that we are not be afraid about the coming events, but also we are not to be unaware of them. People of God must know their God, and be anchored in Him - His faithfulness will be our security (in every way, including economic). "For HE is thy life (in the widest possible meaning), and the length of thy days". When the new president leads the US and other major powers into a position that endangers Israel, I believe that the judgement will be swift; and their may well be a shift in the centre of gravity world power.

Obama is in with a 'landslide' majority, yet so far only 51% of Americans actually vited fro him. That's a bizarre electoral system. I'm now holding my breath to see what happens - for the USA's future is now in the balance. And maybe ours.

I fear for the future of the USA. They've been drawn into an expensive war on at least two fronts: Afganistan and Iraq. It seems like the whole world wants to bring them down, led by the Islamic nations and with Russia, North Korea and China waiting in the wings. The 'clear and present danger' is to be found in Iran with Mahmoud Ahmedinejad. This has lost the USA credibility and important finances, especially when they are on the verge of recession that will probbaly lead us all into a similar global downturn. The Islamic OPEC nations know this, I'm sure, and are over-inflating their oil prices. Has oil supply suddenly dried up to cause such a price increase? No. So why else is it happening? No one on the news seems to be talking about WHY, just the end results of such actions. And what are they doing with all this extra income??? Maybe it's ultimately the way things will have to go, as the USA has always been such a help to Israel. If that help weakens, or disappears altogether, I fear for Israel's natural safety. Hard as it is, it may force her to rely on the Lord's protection over her? If it wasn't for faith in the Almighty Yahoveh and his Word, I'd be seriously worried right now!
